Standby Teams

Once your team is registered you will be immediately added to our standby list of teams.  If there is a family in your area that has already registered with us the process can be fairly simple.  If there are no families in your area that have already registered we encourage all of our standby teams to be proactive in locating a family in their area.

Become an Angel

Sign up to become an FOJ Angel.  Angels send messages to families in need of extra love, support and friendship (MRI, hospice, treatment, milestones)

Visit Local Hospital

Teams can contact local hospitals or support groups to educate families about the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation in hopes of finding a family in need and potentially creating a match for a team at their school.  FOJ will provide Marketing information for distribution.

Host Awareness Game/Event

Standby teams or students looking to fulfill community service requirements (National Honor Society, Student Council, Girl/Boy Scouts, etc) can host an FOJ Awareness Game/Event/Fundraiser. An Awareness Game lets the community know that the team has partnered with Friends of Jaclyn and that they are looking to Adopt a Child in their area.  Students who plan and host FOJ Games can receive community service credit while playing in their game!

Host Alex and Ani In Store Event

Alex and Ani has partnered with Friends of Jaclyn and gives the foundation the opportunity to host “in-store” events at their retail stores that help to promote the foundation, the partnership and the community.  Friends of Jaclyn receives a portion of the sales during the event.

Local Fundraiser

Teams can reach out to local establishments to set up a community  fundraiser to help draw attention to their desire to partner with Friends of Jaclyn to adopt a child.
